NHS Covid Pass experiences issues hours after Plan B announcement

The NHS Covid Pass skilled technical difficulties on Wednesday hours after the Prime Minister introduced a transfer to Plan B in England.

Users reported on social media being unable to obtain their home or journey passes from the NHS England app.

Those who tried to obtain the home cross have been confronted with a loading display earlier than it diverted to a web page outlining learn how to get the cross.

Others desirous to obtain their journey cross have been offered with a message which mentioned: “An unexpected error has occurred.”

Some customers mentioned they bought a message which mentioned: “Please try again later. There are currently issues with accessing the Covid Pass on the NHS app and website. We are investigating the issue and will update as soon as we can.”

It comes hours after Boris Johnson introduced England can be shifting into Plan B following a spike in instances of the Omicron variant of coronavirus.

The NHS Covid Pass, which could be obtained by having two vaccines or a detrimental lateral circulation take a look at, will likely be launched for entry into nightclubs and different giant venues from December 15.

The passes could be downloaded from the NHS app and saved onto cellphones or saved as a PDF and printed off. They final for 30 days.

A press release from NHS Digital mentioned: “We are aware of an issue affecting access to the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App and website. We are investigating this as a priority and will update as soon as we can.”
