“He’s now principally getting concerned in build-up, considering he’s a participant and he’s not a participant, he’s not a Thiago or Bruno Fernandes or Jorginho, he’s not that sort of participant don’t get too concerned within the build-up. He’s received to take away himself from the build-up and become involved within the sport within the latter half and remaining third then get again and sort out.”

Neville went on to lambast the efficiency of Spurs as an entire, bemoaning their midfield show specifically as he mentioned: “I know they didn’t have great football players in the centre of midfield but the appetite to press and win the ball back was completely different than even their performance against Chelsea where I thought they played alright.

“Arsenal simply ran throughout them and then the large downside when Arsenal sat deep and mentioned ‘can you break us down’ once more that they had no thought so it was poor first half for Tottenham.
