Arthur Holscher-Ermert, 27, was struck as he walked throughout the street and died regardless of the efforts of an officer and paramedics. But horrified witnesses alleged police tried to restrain him face down after he was knocked over.
Professor Jens Holscher mentioned: “I cannot believe it. We are so disturbed. That is my little son and nothing is being done.
“We imagine there is a critical fault on the police facet.”
Arthur was lying in the street in Peacehaven, East Sussex, when an officer allegedly knelt on his back to put cuffs on.
Video of the dad of two’s last moments was shot by onlookers.
Arthur, can be heard groaning and crying out for help, it is claimed.
In one clip, a man shouts: “You’ve killed the person!” Another video is said to show a female officer applying CPR. A witness called Matt said: “A black BMW and blue Audi got here not far away at about 30mph.
“Their blue lights came on and the BMW swerved and hit this bloke. He was halfway across the road.”
Prof Holscher, 60, added: “We will take legal action immediately. We haven’t even had an apology, how low can you get?”
The head of economics at Bournemouth University, initially from Germany, was informed by Sussex Police his son died on Saturday evening in an “accident”.
He has been informed the Independent Office for Police Conduct are investigating.
Prof Holscher mentioned he didn’t know why police pursued his son. Arthur’s pal Jason mentioned he was “driving without insurance”.
