Sky News’ Kay Burley volunteers at food bank while suspended for lockdown breach

Kay Burley has proven that she just isn’t going to really feel sorry for herself throughout her suspension from Sky News, by volunteering at a London food bank.

The 60-year-old presenter was pressured to take a break from her function with Sky after she broke Covid guidelines to rejoice her birthday.

She went towards the rule of six however partying with 9 associates at the Century Club in Soho, and within the fall out that adopted, was given a six months suspension by the broadcaster.

She has been seen in a video on social media pitching in with London’s Community Kitchen charity, the place she is packing and distributing prepared meals to these in want within the locality.

In a video, which was posted on the charity’s social media, Kay is seen sporting a hi-vis jacket as she speaks about what they’re doing on a day-to-day foundation.

She says: “We’ve got ready meals, vegetarian of course, water.

“We have lots of volunteers packing them, we have tons of them already.”

Kay is seen sporting a pink facemask and blue gloves as she packs parcels of food, that are then handed out to households in Brent, North West London, who’ve been plunged into food poverty in the course of the third nationwide lockdown.
