Cripes, Gnasher, there’s a brand new massive cheese on the town: Rebecaa Miskin is new boss of Beano publisher DC Thomson
Controversial media government Rebecca Miskin has been appointed boss on the publisher of the Beano.
Miskin has been tasked with attempting to get DC Thomson, which publishes the Dandy, the Beano – residence of Dennis the Menace, Gnasher and Minnie the Minx – and native newspapers, again into revenue.
Last year it posted a £180million loss, which it blamed on the pandemic.

Miskin, 56 this month, joined final year with a view to taking it into the digital age.
But she isn’t any stranger to controversy having based Gloo, which listed in 2015 and sought to purchase media corporations valued at as much as £1bn.
It raised £30million from backers however by no means did a deal and after three years put itself into liquidation having paid simply over £4million in salaries and advantages, together with greater than £1million in bonuses over two years, to high managers.
Miskin’s complete remuneration rose to £431,000 within the year to March 2017.
She stated: ‘DC Thomson was founded on creativity and entrepreneurialism.
